AFM 2025 RECAP: A Breakthrough Market for ‘The Eagle Obsession’

Industry screenings, packed theaters, and the next phase of our distribution journey.

The American Film Market in November 2025 marked a major milestone in our ongoing outreach for The Eagle Obsession. Coming off the momentum of TIFF, our goal at AFM was simple: deepen industry engagement and position the film for the next step in its release strategy. The response exceeded every expectation.

Over the course of the market, we met with dozens of sales agents, distributors, and production companies, all eager to understand why audiences around the world have connected so deeply with the film. Many came specifically because they had heard the buzz following our recent festival wins.

We held two official industry screenings, each with its own energy and impact:

  • AMC Century City — our largest venue to date, delivering pristine sound and visuals. This showing gave the industry its most cinematic experience of The Eagle Obsession so far, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
  • Cinelounge Sunset (Hollywood) — a second packed house, filled with filmmakers, distributors, designers, and longtime sci-fi professionals. Again, the reaction was unanimous: emotional, enthusiastic, and excited for what comes next.

Conversations throughout the week were remarkably aligned. Industry professionals consistently highlighted the film’s broad appeal, its cross-generational emotional resonance, and its unique ability to reach both lifelong sci-fi fans and viewers new to the genre. The film’s cinematic quality and universal themes proved to be strong differentiators in a crowded marketplace.

Based on everything learned at AFM, and following in-depth discussions with several key partners, we have now identified and are pursuing a powerful distribution pathway with a major studio. While we aren’t ready to announce details publicly, this strategy —if successful— puts the film on track for:

  • A theatrical release in Q3 or Q4 of 2026
  • VOD and Blu-ray rollout shortly after
  • Tier-1 streaming platform deals (Amazon, Netflix, Apple) targeted for 2027

AFM confirmed what we have seen at every screening around the world: The Eagle Obsession connects. It moves people. And it has the potential to reach a truly global audience.
