Having seen this documentary, I can substantiate just how good it really is, and the depth of humanism that is folded into it. I so enjoy a good conversation on the Eagle and Space:1999, but what stood out most was your observations here of, basically, ‘what happened?’ to all the forward-thinking possibilities. Having been so…almost ‘parented’ by Star Trek: TNG and the moral compass of Picard as we explored our universe, there seemed to be an exploration of right vs wrong, of respect for different cultures, all wrapped in the guise of allegory (aka, intelligent, thoughtful writing).
